SALES OF BANKRUPT PROPERTY INCREASED BY 19%
Over the past year, only 72.2 thousand transactions on the sale of property of insolvent persons were concluded in Russia. This is 19% more than in 2022.

The total amount of transactions, according to Kommersant, amounted to 209.1 billion rubles. Most of the debtors' vehicles were sold – 24 thousand. Next are buildings – 14 thousand and land plots – 12 thousand. After that, accounts receivable were located – 9 thousand lots and equipment – 7 thousand.

Sberbank, for example, stated that the average receipt of a transaction for the sale of a bank's collateral doubled last year compared to 2022. The bank expects this trend to continue this year.

Last year, a total of 282 thousand bankruptcy procedures took place. This figure is 40% higher than in 2022.

At the same time, cases in which creditors do not receive any funds from natural persons-debtors have increased by almost 4% since 2019. At the same time, with an increase in the number of debtors, their creditors received 47.8 billion rubles in 2023, and 32.7 billion in 2022.

It is different with legal entities: the number of creditors who have received nothing from debtors has decreased by more than 7% since 2019. The total amount of funds received from debtors by creditors amounted to 297.1 billion rubles last year, whereas the year before that – 243.6 billion rubles.
