"ROSMORPORT" WANTS TO ENTER BANKRUPTCY OF "VIMAR OFFSHORE"
"ROSMORPORT" WANTS TO ENTER BANKRUPTCY OF "VIMAR OFFSHORE"
"Rosmorport" (Federal State Unitary Enterprise) has sent a petition to the Astrakhan Arbitration Court (Arbitration Court of the Astrakhan region) with a request to join the creditors of the bankrupt company "Vimar Offshore" (case no.A06-1968/2024). The amount of the claims amounted to 39,981,644 rubles. On November 22, 2024, the court accepted the company's claim for production.
It is known that the Astrakhan company, specializing in offshore operations and work with oil and gas facilities, currently finds itself in a difficult financial situation. According to data from last year, the company received 340 million in revenue, which is 65% less than previous figures.
The total debt of the company exceeds 650 million. Experts estimate the accounts payable at 2.9 billion. As part of the trial, over two dozen enforcement proceedings were initiated against the company.
In addition to Rosmorport, other market participants, including Lukoil's subsidiary and Adamant, have already announced their intentions to enter into the Vimar Offshore insolvency case. Caspian Offshore Construction, a company registered in Kazakhstan, also filed financial claims against the organization. The court plans to consider her petition on December 5, 2024.
The situation around the Astrakhan enterprise became more complicated after the August arbitration decision. The court found the claim of the Svarog company, which initiated the bankruptcy process, justified. The defendant was placed under surveillance, despite attempts to challenge the judicial act. The company's appeal against the introduction of surveillance is due to be considered on December 11.
Vimar Offshore has been in existence since 2008. The company is known for performing complex offshore operations, including projects for the Filanovsky and Greifer fields. Previously, she successfully worked on the laying of underwater power cables and the construction of pipelines on orders from LUKOIL-Nizhnevolzhskneft. However, recent years have become critical for the company due to a sharp decline in revenues and rising debts.
The final decision on the fate of Vimar Offshore will be made after the completion of the monitoring procedure. The court hearing, at which the results of this procedure will be discussed, is scheduled for February 10, 2025. In the meantime, the company continues to be under the close attention of not only creditors, but also supervisory authorities, including the Southern Transport Prosecutor's Office.
