PUTIN CALLED FOR IMPROVING THE EFFICIENCY AND ACCESSIBILITY OF JUSTICE
During the X All-Russian Congress of Judges, Russian President Vladimir Putin called for improving the efficiency, quality, fairness and accessibility of justice.

The state leader stressed that the problems that Russia is currently facing should not be an excuse for a superficial approach in the work of courts and investigations. He recalled that the rights and freedoms of Russians are inviolable and guaranteed by the Constitution of the Russian Federation.

Also during his speech, Putin positively assessed the updating of legislation on the status and organizational support of magistrates and the introduction of modern information technologies into legal proceedings. The Head of State added that the digitalization of the judicial system should become not only a convenient tool for judges, but also help citizens and legal entities to receive high-quality and fair judicial protection.

He also noted that the decisions adopted at the previous congresses had a great impact on the development of the judicial system and on the practice of considering cases. Thus, the measures introduced after the All-Russian Congress of Judges in 2016 helped significantly increase the authority of the judiciary in the country.

Vladimir Putin expressed confidence that the current congress will also contribute to the improvement of justice in Russia. Recall that initially the X Congress was supposed to take place back in 2020, however, due to the epidemiological situation, it was postponed several times.
