NOVOSIBIRSK GROCERY CHAIN PREPARES FOR BANKRUPTCY
Gastromarket, the manager of the Bahetle chain of stores in Novosibirsk, has announced its plans to initiate its own insolvency proceedings. Information about this was published on the Fedresurs portal on April 25, 2025.

As follows from the document signed by the head of the company Igor Morin, signs of bankruptcy have been identified in the activities of the Gastromarket in accordance with legislative requirements. To date, 55 organizations are among the creditors of the business.
The company's financial statements for the past period show that revenue in 2024 increased to 3.6 billion rubles, an increase of 13% compared to the previous year. However, the net profit amounted to only 891 thousand rubles, despite an increase of 22%, which looks extremely unstable against the background of large-scale debt obligations. The owner of the Gastromarket is officially the head of the organization.
In parallel with the preparation for bankruptcy, two court cases are being considered against the company for a total amount of 7.9 billion rubles. The plaintiffs on them are the Retail Center company (previously it operated the Supermarket chain of Successful Purchases) and the Altai Argo.
The ongoing lawsuits are increasing financial pressure on the Gastromarket and significantly affecting its solvency. Currently, two stores continue to operate in Novosibirsk under the Bahetle brand – on Kirova Street and Narymskaya Street. However, in the context of the commencement of bankruptcy proceedings, their future fate remains uncertain.
According to bankruptcy law, a company is required to notify its creditors of its intention to initiate insolvency proceedings 15 calendar days before filing a claim. This step indicates the seriousness of the intentions and the actual recognition of the inability to repay the accumulated obligations.
The situation around the Gastromarket is unfolding against the background of a series of bankruptcies of retail organizations, in particular companies associated with the Nasolenko brothers, whose problems were previously reported by Rusbankrot. The development of events regarding the Gastromarket will be an important indicator for understanding further trends in the food retail segment in a region where competition and consumer demand sensitivity are traditionally high.
