The Swiss company Societe des Produits Nestle filed an intellectual property lawsuit against Prodmarket LLC because of the trade brand of Dolce Gusto coffee capsules. One of the founders of "Prodmarket" is the company "Hospitable farmstead of Grigory Leps".
Nestle demands to terminate the legal protection of the Dolce Gusto trademark ahead of schedule. The Federal Service for Intellectual Property has been involved as a third party.
The trade brand itself was registered by Prodmarket in 2019. And at the moment it is valid until 2028.
The court hearing is scheduled for December 19.
Earlier, Nestle announced the suspension of imports of non-essential goods to Russia, including coffee machines and capsules for them. The Dolce Gusto brand store in Russia is also temporarily closed.
