Moscow's A GROUP demands bankruptcy of Lipetsk developer Ecotherm
The structure of Severstal Holding initiated bankruptcy proceedings for a construction company from Lipetsk due to unfulfilled financial obligations.

According to the materials of the arbitration court, A GROUP has already recovered 18.8 million rubles from Ecotherm, including the principal debt for metal products and penalties. Despite the developer's attempts to challenge the decision, citing the quality of supplies, the court dismissed the claim. Kirill Filonov, CEO of Ecotherm, announced negotiations with the creditor, but this did not stop the filing for bankruptcy.

The company remains a contractor for government contracts worth 2 billion rubles, but its financial condition is questionable. Since the beginning of the year, 11 enforcement proceedings have been initiated against the company for 22 million rubles, and about 20 lawsuits have been filed. The partnership between the companies began in 2023 with a contract for the supply of metal, but the settlement has not been completed.

Although Ecotherm showed revenue of 1.1 billion rubles by the end of 2024, its authorized capital is only 10 thousand rubles. At the same time, the A GROUP, managed by Severstal Management and owned by Gazprom NPO and PJSC Severstal, demonstrates stable financial performance with revenue of 74.8 billion rubles in 2023.
The court should soon consider the validity of the claims and decide whether to introduce a monitoring procedure. Ecotherm's government contracts can help with debt restructuring, but the high credit burden calls into question the company's continued stability.
