Modular sauna manufacturer Hygge faces bankruptcy filing
A St. Petersburg court found procedural flaws in the bankruptcy petition filed against the Hygge company. The company manufactures modular saunas and gazebos. Its products were supplied to various regions.

The case was initiated by creditor Lyudmila Goloborodova, but the process was not immediately launched due to document irregularities. After reviewing the submitted materials, the judge found that several required attachments were missing (for example, a receipt for payment of the state fee). For individuals initiating bankruptcy proceedings against a legal entity, the fee is 10,000 rubles.

A key criticism was that the applicant failed to attach a court order confirming her financial claims. Furthermore, the materials lacked direct evidence of the debt itself.

Due to the violations identified, the lawsuit was dismissed. Goloborodova must promptly correct all deficiencies and submit the necessary documents. The deadline for correcting the deficiencies is April 6. If the applicant meets the allotted time and submits the complete package, the lawsuit will be reconsidered.

Hygge, a company registered in St. Petersburg, reported its financial results for 2024. Revenue reached 56.4 million rubles, a 4.7% decrease compared to the previous year. The drop in net profit was far more noticeable. At the end of 2024, this figure amounted to only 27,000 rubles. By comparison, the result in 2023 was significantly higher, with a decline of almost 80 percent. The financial statements also disclose the company's asset structure. At the end of last year, total assets were estimated at 24.7 million rubles, while the company's net assets stood at 12.4 million rubles. The business is owned by two individuals: Alexander Shevtsov, who controls 51% of the shares, and Anton Eremin, who owns the remaining 49%. Mikhail Kudrya serves as CEO.
