MINISTRY OF INTERNAL AFFAIRS OF RUSSIA ANNOUNCED CHANGES IN THE DRIVING LICENSE EXAM
New rules of passing exam for obtaining a driver's license may be introduced in Russia in the nearest future. The Ministry of Internal Affairs came up with a corresponding idea.
The draft order to amend the existing regulations is already under development. At the moment, the regulations provide for a gradation of violations, which are divided into "minor", "average" and "gross". For each of them, points are awarded, and the exam will be passed if less than 5 points are collected in total.
At the same time, the regulations provide for 17 gross violations, if any of them is committed, the exam will be terminated, and the examinee will be sent for a retake.
The new draft regulation proposes, on the one hand, to reduce the number of gross violations to 15, on the other - to provide for two new ones.
They might be non-fastened seat belt, as well as using the mobile phone while driving. Previously, both of these errors were included in the list of "average" and did not entail immediate termination of the exam.
If the order of the Ministry of Internal Affairs is adopted, the new rules for passing driving license exams will come into force from April next year.
