MIKHAIL MISHUSTIN EXTENDED TAX HOLIDAY PERIOD UNTIL NEXT YEAR
The Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin announced the extension of measures to provide businesses with tax holidays until the end of the year. This will affect representatives of the business sectors most affected by the pandemic.
The prime minister assessed the current economic situation as "not simple" and outlined the need for additional government assistance for small and medium-sized businesses.
At the same time, according to the Association of Tour Operators of Russia (ATOR), the abolition of a number of taxes this year could become a more effective support measure. Since a deferral in a situation of a shortage of funds can lead to the accumulation of arrears and the aggravation of an already difficult situation in companies.
ATOR has already informed Mikhail Mishustin about a corresponding proposal, sending him an official letter. At the same time, the association called tax holidays and the introduction of a moratorium on inspections important support measures.
Business Ombudsman Boris Titov told RIA Novosti about his assessment of the measures introduced by the Government. In his opinion, such support was a completely logical step, and entrepreneurship is grateful for it.
At the same time, Titov recalled that the period of deferral would pass, and the problem itself would not disappear.
The Ombudsman outlined the importance of paying taxes, but suggested that in a difficult business situation, settlements with the state could lead to a heavy expenditure of limited resources that are used to survive and preserve jobs.
