HEWLETT-PACKARD ENTERPRISE'S "DAUGHTER" IN RUSSIA MAY BECOME BANKRUPT
The Russian company Pro Factor has posted a notice on the Fedresurs portal that it intends to apply to arbitration with an application for insolvency of Hewlett Packard Enterprise. The reason was the debts of a subsidiary of the Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) IT corporation from the USA to its counterparty.

Experts note that "Pro Factor" is not the only potential candidate who may be interested in the bankruptcy of HPE's "daughter". The firm is already a defendant in arbitration proceedings with the companies "O-C-C Center" and "Imcotrade". The claims against her amount to 1.4 billion and 558 million, respectively.

In Russia, an American corporation was engaged in the supply of data storage systems. In the market of cloud and server solutions, the company successfully competed with Dell Technologies and Huawei. The amount of contracts concluded by her in Russia with the state exceeded 12.5 billion. However, in March 2022, HP announced the suspension of its activities in the country.

Initially, we were talking about a 90-day period from the moment of the start of the SVO on the territory of Ukraine. Subsequently, the company made a statement that since the military conflict was not settled within this period, the company would be forced to completely leave the markets of the Russian Federation and Belarus. The corresponding letter was sent to his partners by the head of the company Antonio Neri.

On April 30, the company summed up the financial results of its work in the second quarter. Net profit was about $250 million, and revenue for the quarter was $6.71 billion. Subsequent write-offs caused by the shutdown of the company's activities in Russia and Belarus turned out to be in the amount of $ 126 million.

It is known that the most reputable customers of HPE in Russia were Glonass, Rostelecom and MOEK. The company launched a major project in 2020, cooperating with NVision Group (an integrator included in AFK Sistema) and the Chinese Inspur Corporation. It was assumed that several dozen models of computer equipment, including routers, switches and servers, would be launched in Russia. The Saransk Television Plant was to be the base of the project.

To date, HPE products have already been included in the register of goods that can be delivered to the country through "parallel import". This means that the import of such products to Russia can be carried out without the consent of the brand holder and his official dealers.
