Here are the most relevant and important legal developments of the coming month.
Corporate SIM cards are being removed from the ‘gray’ zone
Now, when purchasing corporate SIM cards, companies will be required to ‘tie’ them to specific accounts of their employees on the ‘State Services’. Thus, the fight against ‘gray’ numbers, registered by one-day companies and subsequently used for illegal distribution and telephone fraud, is being conducted.
Now the use of the purchased card will become impossible without confirmation of the identity.
Educational activities standards
The previously discussed amendments to the Law on Education will start working this summer. They are related to educational activities, the definition of which is given in the new edition of the law. But in addition to terminology, the innovation also provides for certain requirements for the implementation of such activities, and also sets restrictions for educational organizations in the framework of international cooperation.
Mandatory labeling of cheese products and ice cream
The previously voluntary electronic labeling of cheese products and ice cream will become mandatory this summer. The innovation has been repeatedly postponed by the Ministry of Industry and Trade, but now it will come into force.
Subsequently, it is planned to add dairy products with a shelf life of over 40 days (from autumn) and up to 40 days (from winter) to cheese products and ice cream.
Covid indulgences for borrowers are over
The exemption period for borrowers affected by the consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic will end in June. Previously, such citizens had the right to count on postponement of payments, a decrease in interest rates and other ways to reduce the financial burden.
Foreign road carriers will be obliged to pay fines
Foreign road carriers will receive the right to leave Russia only after paying off the arrears of fines owed to the state. The rule of law became possible after the appearance of the register of carriers, which is maintained by the Russian Federal State Agency for Health and Consumer Rights. From now on, foreign transport companies have the right to carry out their activities on the territory of Russia only after entering information about them in the register.
Social payments are finally transferred to Mir payment service
This summer, the term for transferring social payments to Mir cards has expired. This applies to both pensions and various kinds of benefits, including maternity capital. Due to the pandemic, the time of the final transition has repeatedly been postponed, but now it is over.
At the same time, the possibility of receiving a pension through branches of the Russian Post and transferring funds to a bank account, to which no bank card is tied, is retained.
Export of buckwheat will be banned until September
In the period from June 5 to September this year, a ban on the export of buckwheat, as well as cereals from it will be introduced.
