FEDERAL TAX SERVICE INITIATES BANKRUPTCY OF MURMANSK FISHING INDUSTRY
The arbitration of the Murmansk Region has received a claim from the regional department of the Federal Tax Service. The tax authorities demand that the Star of the Sailor society be officially declared insolvent. The documents were submitted on March 30. The main reason for the claims is the company's multimillion–dollar debts to the state.
The court clarifies that the company has not paid taxes, fees and insurance contributions to the funds. The total amount of debt exceeded 38 million rubles. At the time of the last data update, the fate of the application has not yet been decided – there is no procedural verdict on the acceptance of the claim.
It is known that the company has been operating for about 17 years with a residence permit in Murmansk. The organization is mainly engaged in fishing and sells seafood. According to data from open sources, the year before last the business showed revenue of 155 million. However, the result was deplorable: the loss reached 136 million rubles.
The company is headed by Sergey Voskanyan. He is also at the helm of the Soyuz IC. Interestingly, in 2025, the fiscal authorities already tried to recognize the insolvency of this construction company, demanding 57.2 million rubles. The trial dragged on for about six months, but then the process was stopped.
The owner of the defendant is Hovhannes Shankoyan. At the moment, he remains involved in a major criminal case of an economic crime. In addition to the fishing company, Shankoyan is involved in the operation of 11 other organizations registered in the region.
The Aquarium affiliated company is of particular interest. The regional Prosecutor's Office has previously filed a lawsuit against this legal entity, acting in the interests of the Ministry of Finance. In this case, there was a dispute with the Asia Trans Travel organization from Kyrgyzstan and a violation of the contract for the supply of equipment. The amount of claims amounted to almost 1 billion. At the end of last month, the case "moved" from Murmansk to Moscow.
