FEDERAL SERVICE FOR SUPERVISION OF CONSUMERS PROTECTION MITIGATED RECOMMENDATIONS FOR THE HOTELS AND FITNESS CENTERS

After the Federal Service for Supervision of Consumers Protection had announced the first recommendations on the work of the public places, ranging from cafes, restaurants and hotels to the sports facilities, each entrepreneur in the industry “tried on” the measures that were voiced.

And if the purchase of sanitizers or the arrangement of tables in the restaurants did not create great difficulties, then many recommendations were withdrawn by the department after discussion with the business representatives.

In particular, if we consider the hotel business, then the updated recommendations of the Federal Service for Supervision of Consumers Protection no longer contain the condition for the availability of a bathroom in each room. The problematic compliance was especially acute for the small hotels and hostels.

In addition, now the requirement for a general cleaning with cleaning of ventilation systems is relevant only for those hotels, the activities of which were suspended during the pandemic. A similar requirement applies to the mandatory testing for coronavirus of the personnel.

As for the sports facilities, the requirement for the number of the simultaneous visitors was lifted for the pools.

In the previous edition, the Federal Service for Supervision of Consumers Protection recommended to let the visitors in at the rate of 10 square meters of a water mirror for 1 person, now there is no such requirement.
