FEDERAL SERVICE FOR SUPERVISION OF CONSUMER RIGHTS PROTECTION AND WELFARE: A NATION-WIDE MASK REGIMEN IS INTRODUCED IN RUSSIA

The head of the Federal Service for Consumer Rights Protection and Human Welfare, Anna Popova, signed a document obliging all residents on the territory of the Russian Federation to wear masks in public places. The regulation applies to all regions.



Personal protective equipment must be used in crowded areas, in transport, elevators, parking lots and taxis. It is noted that the execution of the regime will be controlled by the higher bodies of all the regions. The innovation will take effect from October 28.

In addition, the Federal Service for Consumer Rights Protection and Human Welfare banned the work of almost all the establishments at night.

The department recommended to limit the work of catering and entertainment establishments from 23.00 to 6.00. Previously, such measures were introduced only at the level of individual regions - for example, night work of restaurants was prohibited in the Moscow region from October 17 and in St. Petersburg from October 26.

It is also worth noting that the Federal Service for Consumer Rights Protection and Human Welfare made a decison to strengthen the disinfection regime. As of October 27, 16,550 new cases of coronavirus were registered in Russia, 12,884 patients have recovered and 320 have died. At the moment, there are 362,245 active cases of coronavirus in the country, since the beginning of the pandemic, 1,547,774 Russians have had the disease.
