CREDITORS PLAN TO CLOSE THE DEFENSE ENTERPRISE OF ROSCOSMOS IN MIASS
"Miass Machine-Building Plant" (MMZ), which has been in the process of bankruptcy since 2021, risks completely ceasing economic activity. The company's creditors plan to consider this issue on April 28, 2023. The relevant information was recently published on the portal "Fedresurs".

Among the issues that the bankruptcy trustee Anatoly Selishchev indicated in his message is not only the issue of closing the company. Creditors will have to approve a number of proposals concerning the terms and conditions of the sale of the plant's assets. In addition, the work carried out by the order of Transneft may be completely stopped. The plant manufactured pontoons for her, but this activity directly depends on the establishment of direct delivery, which turned out to be impossible in the current conditions.

The company announced its own bankruptcy back in March 2021. By that time, the debt of one of the structures of the state corporation "Roscosmos" exceeded 2.38 billion. Top management explained this by a decrease in the number of orders and large loans.

At the end of December 2021, Rusbankrot wrote about the sad fate of MMZ. It was then that the defense enterprise, which provided jobs for 1.5 thousand people, supplied heat to the northern part of the city (the village of Builders and Mashgorodok), was taken under surveillance. In May 2022, it became known that Roscosmos itself became a creditor of MMZ. The state corporation demanded 3.2 million rubles from its enterprise.

Since July last year, the company has been undergoing the procedure of bankruptcy proceedings. With more than a dozen creditors, the defense plant owes the most to the "daughter" of Novatek in the Chelyabinsk region (about 540 million) and Rosselkhoznadzor (1.3 billion). At the same time, the competitive mass of MMZ is estimated at 900 million. The bankruptcy procedure was extended until July 2023.

If creditors decide to completely stop the company's work, about 800 employees will lose their jobs, Kommersant writes. The fulfillment of social functions by the plant prompted the Prosecutor's office of the Chelyabinsk region in March 2023 to enter into the bankruptcy process of MMZ. One of the main state orders carried out by the plant is the supply of components for the production of nuclear ballistics of the Design Bureau. Makeeva. Its implementation may also be at risk.
