CREDITORS HAVE CALLED FOR THEIR CONTROL TO BE REGULATED IN THE BANKRUPTCY PROCEDURE
The work on the reform of the bankruptcy law should be accelerated as much as possible, in particular, it is necessary to shift the focus from protecting the interests of the creditor to protecting the interests of the debtor and arbitration managers, the director of the distressed assets division of Dom Bank believes.Russian Federation" Alexander Ivanov. He stated this at the VIII annual conference "Institute of Bankruptcy in Russia", which takes place on September 7 in Moscow.

"Judicial control should give debtors a chance. I would like to raise the question – how much is the system adequate now. Procreditor control over the debtor remains, it is the power over the debtor in fact. The arbitration manager, a professional participant in the bankruptcy market, and an entrepreneur, of course, are given the least place. In fact, everything is tied up at meetings of creditors," Ivanov stressed.

He also drew attention to the fact that until the work on the bill is accelerated, the institution of bankruptcy in Russia will continue to be "in its infancy."

The Managing Director of Sberbank Evgeny Akimov also spoke at the conference. He summed up the interim results of the bankruptcy moratorium, which has been in effect since April 1. According to him, the main goal of the measure – to stabilize the economy – has been achieved, in this regard, there is no need to continue the moratorium.

"The economy has stabilized, this is confirmed by Rosstat data, both Russian and foreign media, including. Russia has resisted Western sanctions. The moratorium should be stopped," Akimov said.

The VIII annual conference "Institute of Bankruptcy in Russia" takes place on September 7 in Moscow. Topical issues and problems of the insolvency law are being discussed today by representatives of state authorities, lawyers and lawyers in criminal and civil cases, arbitration managers, as well as representatives of business and public authorities.

Today, the focus of the conference participants is the reform of the bankruptcy law.

In April, due to anti-Russian sanctions, a moratorium on bankruptcy was introduced in Russia, which directly affected one of the most dynamically developing areas previously. Work on legislative reform has recently resumed. By the next reading, the responsible departments will have to adapt the bill to the current circumstances, and the interested community will have to send their proposals for revision.
