Control over the bankruptcy of Biogrin passes to Bityugov Bereg
The financial problems of Vladimir Filippov, the founder of the Biogrin mushroom farm, were taken over by the Bityugov Bereg company, owned by Moscow entrepreneur Peter Shatrov. This firm has achieved inclusion in the register of creditors' claims with a claim amount of about 575 million rubles.

The history of "Biogrin" began in 2016 – the project was conceived as an automated production of mushrooms using sterile technology. Initially, the investment was estimated at 800 million rubles, with the prospect of increasing to 2 billion. Filippov, who was previously involved in road construction and agribusiness, attracted bank financing, mortgaging almost the entire authorized capital of the company.

However, the project faced external difficulties – the COVID-19 pandemic sharply reduced demand for products, which led to cash gaps and in 2021 to the beginning of bankruptcy proceedings. Then Bityugov Bereg acted as an investor, pledging to buy out the debts of Biogrin and invest 230 million rubles, in return for receiving 50% of the shares.

Despite the agreements reached, by 2022, a conflict had arisen between the parties. The new director, appointed on Shatrov's initiative, changed the management strategy, which, according to Filippov, actually removed him from the company. The proceedings were suspended, and the conflict escalated into a public confrontation with criminal allegations.

Filippov tried to maintain control by initiating personal bankruptcy and appointing a loyal manager. However, in the spring of 2025, the court recognized Bityugov Bereg as a full-fledged creditor, which gave the company the opportunity to change the manager and influence the distribution of assets, including 99% of the shares of Biogrin.

At the same time, the bankruptcy procedure of Biogrin itself resumed. In April 2025, it was decided to enter bankruptcy proceedings, and Viktor Rabchenko was proposed as a candidate for the position of bankruptcy trustee. The approval meeting is scheduled for June 2, 2025, which could be a turning point in the history of the mushroom project.
