COMPLAINTS FROM CUSTOMERS OF THE BLUMART CHAIN MAY RESULT IN BANKRUPTCY
Buyers of the large Blumart construction hypermarket chain continue to face violations of their rights related to postponements of delivery dates and difficulties in refunding funds. Against the background of numerous complaints received by Rospotrebnadzor, the company's prospects in the market remain in doubt. The network company, which has five outlets in Moscow, including two that are temporarily closed, may face bankruptcy, which raises concerns among consumers awaiting compensation for outstanding obligations.

Problems with delivery began after customers began to face delays due to the fact that the deadlines specified at checkout were postponed without prior approval. So, Veronika, the buyer, who placed an order for flooring in early December, claims that the delivery scheduled for December 13 never took place. At the same time, the managers of the hypermarket could not provide accurate information about the delivery time, which led to customer dissatisfaction and refusal of further cooperation.

According to the affected customers, the company is not responding to calls. Attempts to contact other branches were unsuccessful. The inability to receive the goods and the refusal to refund the funds is the main reason for numerous complaints. As a result, it is reported that since the end of last year, more than a hundred citizens have contacted Rospotrebnadzor, dissatisfied with the quality of service.

Lawyers involved in such cases note that such interaction between Blumart and clients can lead to legal consequences. The lawyers believe that the best solution for the affected buyers may be to file a class action. This method allows you to combine the claims of a group of people in one statement of claim, which can significantly speed up the process of collecting damages. According to the lawyer, it is also possible to file a claim based on a violation of the terms of the contract, which gives the right to receive a penalty. If the company refuses to refund the money, consumers can demand a fine of 40% of the amount owed.

The Blumart company, despite its profit exceeding 2 billion rubles in 2023, faced serious financial difficulties, and last year 15 lawsuits were filed, totaling 30 million rubles. Lawyers and arbitration managers note that the situation is unlikely to be fixed without launching bankruptcy proceedings. Some experts believe that the company is no longer able to solve the debt problem on its own and may declare its insolvency in the coming months.

In a situation where the company is declared bankrupt, the affected buyers have the opportunity to return their financial resources. The procedure will be lengthy, but partial payments to creditors, including clients, are possible based on the company's assets. At the bankruptcy stage, the bankruptcy trustee will be required to provide the maximum possible compensation, but the likelihood that buyers will be able to receive the full amount of compensation is low.

To avoid such situations, Rospotrebnadzor advises future customers to read reviews about the company on third-party resources in advance, rather than relying solely on information from the store's official website. This step will help to avoid unpleasant surprises and protect your rights in case of disputes.
