CHELYABINSK FOUNDRY FACES BANKRUPTCY DUE TO DEBT OF 15 MILLION
The financial situation of the Chelyabinsk foundry has deteriorated sharply over the past two years. If in 2022 the business demonstrated record revenue, now the company is at risk of becoming bankrupt due to debt to the budget. The arbitration court has already registered the relevant application from the tax authorities.

The initiator of the proceedings was MI Federal Tax Service No. 4 in Bashkortostan. The reason is the arrears of 15.4 million. The statement of the tax authorities was submitted to the Chelyabinsk arbitration Court in the second half of May. On May 21, the lawsuit was officially accepted for production. The date of the preliminary meeting is scheduled for July 13.

Exactly what obligations formed this debt is not yet disclosed. It is only known that the plant itself has been operating since 2017. The company is registered in Chelyabinsk and specializes in the production of light metal products. The owner and director of the company is Dmitry Razumov.

An analysis of open data shows that the company was doing much better in the past. The most successful period was in 2022. At that time, revenue exceeded 140 million, and net profit was approaching 4 million. However, then the dynamics changed to a fall.

By the end of 2023, the plant still reported revenue of about 95 million and a profit of 1.4 million. But already in 2024, finances became unprofitable. The company posted a net loss of 1 million. Moreover, according to some reports, there was practically no revenue last year.

The deterioration of the financial situation, apparently, led to the claims of the fiscal authority. Now the future fate of the Chelyabinsk foundry depends on whether the arbitration recognizes the requirements of the Federal Tax Service as justified. If this happens, one of the insolvency procedures may be initiated against the company.
