Ceramic company from Skopin was again under threat of bankruptcy
The Ryazan Arbitration Court (AS RO) has received another application for declaring the Skopinskaya Art Ceramics CJSC insolvent. The lawsuit was filed by Dmitry Katunin, an individual entrepreneur from Skopin, who insists on including his claims in the register of creditors of the debtor (case no. A54-4327/2025).

The basis for submitting the application was the presence of debt under loan agreements. Initially, the amount of claims was estimated at 3.5 million, but later it was clarified and reduced to 2.7 million. Of this amount, 2.21 million is the main debt. The arbitration court accepted the application for proceedings, and the procedure for reviewing the case has begun.

This is not the first attempt to start bankruptcy of the company. Earlier, the Federal Tax Service submitted a similar application, citing tax arrears in the amount of about 2.5 million. However, the case was then dismissed. In addition, the regional Ministry of Economic Development previously demanded the return of grant funds provided to the company as part of state support.

Skopin Art Ceramics is one of the oldest enterprises in the region, famous for the production of unique decorative products. However, the company has faced serious difficulties in recent years. The company has already suspended its activities, and financial instability has repeatedly brought it to the brink of closure.

Additional problems arose due to non-payment of salaries to employees. A criminal case was initiated against the General Director of the Company. At the time of the investigation, the debt owed to employees exceeded 1.2 million. Later, as part of the investigative measures, the entire amount was repaid, and the employees were compensated for the delay.

Against the background of all these events, an appeal from a local entrepreneur can be decisive in the future fate of the enterprise. The trial is likely to be the next stage in the history of the protracted crisis facing the Skopin Art Ceramics.
