BUTURLINOVSKY MEAT PROCESSING PLANT IN VORONEZH REGION DECLARED BANKRUPT
The Voronezh Arbitration Court granted Buturlinovsky Meat Processing Plant the status of an insolvent enterprise. The company's debt burden amounted to 430.7 million rubles. At the same time, the inventory showed: The value of assets does not exceed 14.9 million rubles, which is ten times less than the amount of liabilities. The list of assets includes cars, trucks, specialized equipment, trailers, more than 170 pieces of production equipment, a land plot, and buildings.

The bankruptcy case was initiated by Sberbank, which filed a lawsuit in the fall of 2024. In the spring of 2025, the court recognized the creditor's claims as valid and included the debt in the register for an amount of approximately 430 million rubles.

Previously, the company faced additional threats from claims filed by the Svinprom holding company, which filed lawsuits against the plant for 316 million and 20 million rubles in 2024. However, by the end of the year, the company withdrew its claims, temporarily alleviating the financial pressure.

Interestingly, the plant itself also filed a voluntary bankruptcy petition in the summer of 2024, but later abandoned this initiative. According to media reports, the management was hoping for the arrival of an investor and the possibility of changing the ownership structure. It was during this period that rumors about the possible sale of the company were actively discussed.

The situation was further complicated by internal changes in management. According to regional media reports, Mikhail Romanenko, the company's CEO for over eight years, stepped down from his position. Dmitry Senishchev, who had business ties in the Kursk region and owned a stake in a Moscow-based company, took over.

The meat processing plant's insolvency was a natural outcome of its growing financial problems, and the difference between the amount of its liabilities and the value of its assets clearly demonstrates the depth of the crisis. The future of the plant's assets will be determined through the bankruptcy proceedings, and creditors will have the opportunity to file their claims and expect partial satisfaction through the sale of the plant's assets.
