BEAC INITIATES BANKRUPTCY OF EQUIPMENT SUPPLIER FROM MAGNITOGORSK 16+
The largest Russian creditor went to court with a demand to recognize the financial insolvency of the Magnitogorsk company. Sberbank PJSC has filed for bankruptcy against Vostoktyazhmash (LLC). The amount of claims that served as the basis for launching the procedure exceeds 51 million rubles. The application has already been registered by the arbitration court, and the date of the preliminary trial is set for mid-spring 2026.

The legal standoff between the parties has been dragging on since last year. The bank has previously collected over 53 million rubles from the company under several loan agreements, including the main body of the debt and interest for delay. The Court of first instance sided with the financial organization in full. The defendant attempted to appeal this decision, citing partial repayment of the debt, but the appellate instance left the verdict unchanged, supporting the plaintiff's position.

In previous proceedings, interim measures were applied at the request of Sberbank. The appeal (the 18th AAC) seized the property of both the company itself and its management within the limits of the stated requirements. The restrictions include, in particular, self-propelled special equipment and equipment involved in the debtor's activities.

Vostoktyazhmash, which has been operating since 2020, specializes in the wholesale supply of equipment for the construction and extractive industries. The organization is the official distributor of the Tonar plant. The company's staff is small: it employs only a few people. Natalia Poskacheeva runs the business and at the same time acts as its sole founder.

The financial condition of the organization has noticeably deteriorated over the last reporting period. By the end of 2024, revenue decreased by more than three quarters, stopping at around 103 million rubles. The company's net profit has gone into negative territory. In addition, enforcement proceedings have been opened against the company for an amount that is comparable to the current requirements of the creditor bank.

The corporation reported that they are keeping the situation under control and monitoring the development of the judicial scenario. The problems of this Magnitogorsk asset are unfolding against the background of difficulties for other industrial players in the region. The current story is another confirmation of the trend that disputes with banks over debts often spill over into insolvency. This is especially true in cases where the defendant's financial condition continues to deteriorate, and judicial acts that have entered into force remain unfulfilled.
