BASHKIRAVTODOR INITIATES BANKRUPTCY OF SKOLKHIMPROM
In Ufa, the conflict between major participants in the construction market has escalated. Bashkiravtodor JSC applied to the Arbitration Court of the Republic (AS RB) with a statement declaring its counterparty, Skolkhimprom LLC, bankrupt. The judicial appeal is at the stage of acceptance for production. It is noteworthy that Sberbank had previously made similar demands on the same debtor in June and July of this year.
The origins of the claims go back to 2021. Then the parties signed a number of contracts for the supply of building materials and road products. Their amount was about 67.8 million rubles. Bashkiravtodor made a significant advance payment to the counterparty – about 85% of the cost. But the materials (reinforced concrete structures, geogrid, etc.) they were never transferred. Subsequently, the AU satisfied the customer's requirements and decided to recover 57.7 million from the supplier.
Financial relations between the companies were complicated. In 2023, the parties signed a settlement agreement. According to the deal, Bashkiravtodor promised to pay 1.1 billion to the counterparty for the rental of equipment. But a couple of years later, Sberbank, acting as a creditor of the road company, secured a review of this deal. According to the bank, the agreement could be fictitious and used to withdraw assets before the possible bankruptcy of a state-owned enterprise.
Meanwhile, the fate of Bashkiravtodor itself has also been at the center of legal proceedings in recent months. In the summer, the AC of the Republic of Belarus declared the company bankrupt, including the requirements of Skolkhimprom in the register. However, an appeal overturned the decision in the fall. The head of the republic then sharply criticized the initial verdict, calling it "the most outrageous." He stated that the insolvency procedure was used as a tool for a raider attempt to seize an important state asset.
Let us recall that Skolkhimprom was established in Ufa six years ago. The company, founded by Eduard Yakhin and Sergey Ionin, supplies road equipment and construction materials. Ionin, as you know, controls Invest Management Company, whose specialization is the supply of spare parts for special equipment. In 2024, the company received 526 million rubles of revenue, although the net result of its activities was negative: the loss amounted to 719 thousand.
