BANKRUPTCY LAW AND OTHER TRENDS IN PRACTICE: A LEGAL FORUM HAS STARTED IN VORONEZH
The trends of bankruptcy practice in 2022 were discussed by lawyers, representatives of law firms, as well as arbitration managers during the first day of the Masters legal forum organized in Voronezh. The forum, which brought together more than 200 experts, takes place from September 15 to 17.

Stanislav Valezhnikov, Managing Partner of the Central District Law Firm, noted that for the second year in a row, amendments to the bankruptcy law have been discussed at the forum. "However, problems remain," Valezhnikov stressed.

In turn, the chairman of the Expert Council of the All-Russian Trade Union of Arbitration Managers (ORPAU) Maxim Dotsenko drew attention to the fact that bills in the field of bankruptcy are being developed and considered for a very long time. According to him, this significantly delays the reform of the bankruptcy law.

"But the main advantage is that such a long consideration of draft laws allows you to get acquainted with a lot of opinions and make the right decision," added Dotsenko.

Maxim Dotsenko also spoke about the problem with the remuneration of arbitration managers. He stressed that often the total earnings of the AU for the bankruptcy procedure is not equivalent to the amount of compulsory insurance of the arbitration manager. According to the expert, compulsory insurance can be several times higher than income. And in fact, in such situations, the arbitration manager works at a loss.

In addition to bankruptcy, experts, as well as representatives of business, authorities and relevant ministries will discuss antimonopoly, electronic, digital law and others within the framework of the forum.

Special attention will be paid to the problems of legal education and training of employees for a law firm. In addition, experts will share their experience on how to develop a lawyer's personal brand while maintaining a reputation.

The first legal forum of masters was held in Voronezh in 2020. During this short period, it has become the largest legal event in the Chernozem region, as well as a meeting place for the professional community, whose participants can discuss the problems of the industry and share their experience with each other. Traditionally, speakers from all over Russia – from Moscow, Voronezh, St. Petersburg, Vladivostok, Yekaterinburg and other regions - take part in the event.
