A HALF-YEAR MORATORIUM ON THE BANKRUPTCY OF THE COMPANIES IS INTRODUCED IN RUSSIA
On March 25, the president Vladimir Putin delivered an address to the nation. It was announced the day before and provoked a wave of disputes and assumptions on the measures that would be taken in a difficult situation for the country.

Among other things, Vladimir Putin voiced the idea of introducing a six-month moratorium on bankruptcy of the enterprises, affected by the coronavirus pandemic, at the legislative level.

Such a measure can be an effective way in the fight against the mass bankruptcies that may occur in the light of the events of recent months. In addition, the president proposed to release the affected companies from collecting fines and debts repayment for a period of six months.

For the purpose of additional support to the small and medium-sized businesses, Putin announced the proposals for granting for a deferral of the repayment of the loans for the entrepreneurs for a period of six months. At the same time, if the bankruptcy cannot be avoided by small businesses, the procedure of it should be made as affordable as possible for the debtor, noted the president.

After such statements, the active work starts on their implementation. The result of state support can be fully appreciated by the end of the year.
