A CLAIM FOR 6 BILLION: ALFA-BANK AND SVYAZNOY WENT TO THE WORLD
Alfa-Bank, Russia's largest private bank, and the federal retail chain Svyaznoy have agreed to conclude a settlement agreement. We are talking about a trial for 6 billion rubles. This is reported by Vedomosti with reference to a representative of a financial organization.
As specified, the agreement implies installment payments and termination of proceedings in this case. The arbitration court will consider the settlement agreement of the parties in December.
According to the file of arbitration cases, the proceedings on Alfa-Bank's application against DTS Retail, which owns 69.25% of Svyaznoy, were closed on November 24, while Alfa-Bank's lawsuit against the legal entity Svyaznoy Network LLC still remains in court proceedings. A new meeting on the latter is scheduled for December 8.
For the first time, the likely conclusion of a settlement agreement between the companies became known in October. At the same time, Svyaznoy turned to Alfa-Bank with a request to provide installments of 6 billion of the 12 billion rubles that the credit institution collects from the company.
