It became known that the Ministry of Labor has developed an order according to which air transport mechanics and technical engineers involved in aircraft maintenance will be excluded from the list of professions prohibited for women.
According to TASS, Senator Inna Svyatenko initiated the idea - she turned to the Ministry of Labor with a demand to reduce the number of professions prohibited for women. She noted that it was unfair that women could acquire these professions, but at the same time they are not hired.
Now the project of the Ministry will be considered by the working group on the protection of labor rights.
If the document is approved, women will be able to be engaged in maintenance of aircraft, be aviation engines, gliders, electrical and radio equipment mechanics, parachute and rescue equipment specialists.
We should recall that since January 2021, the list of professions allowed for women has been expanded - now they can get a job, for example, as train drivers, as well as truck drivers. In honor of this innovation, the Moscow Metro launched a line of Barbie dolls dressed as train drivers, and also launched pink Troika cards.
