VLADIMIR PUTIN DID NOT EXCLUDE THE POSSIBILITY OF A NEW PRESIDENTAL TERM
On the air of the Russia 1 television channel, Vladimir Putin said that he did not exclude the option of running for president.
This will be possible if the Russians adopt the amendments to the Constitution, providing for the "nullification" of the presidential term. However, Putin did not make a concrete response, noting that it would be clear closer to the elections; for the moment, the president has not made a final decision for himself yet.
In his speech, Putin also called on the officials not to look for his successor, but to work. The president also shared what he does in his free time - he said that he loved sports and music, and also had regrets that he rarely sees his grandchildren. However, he noted that his grandchildren could call him to work.
It is necessary to recall that the vote on the amendments to the Constitution will be held on 1 July. If the Russians vote “for”, Putin will officially be able to run for a new presidential term.
