THE STATE DUMA PROPOSED TO POSTPONE THE BEGINNING OF THE ACADEMIC YEAR UNTIL OCTOBER 1

The representative of the Liberal Democratic Party Vasily Vlasov came up with an initiative, according to which the beginning of the academic year should be postponed for a month - until October 1. This measure will supposedly help to avoid a surge in the incidence of coronavirus.

As reported by the RIA Novosti, the deputy has already sent his proposal to the Ministry of Education. Vlasov is sure that an additional month of vacation will contribute to a reduction in social contacts, in addition, students and parents will have more time to pass all the necessary tests before starting the studies.

"The measure will help to avoid an excessive load on the medical infrastructure," summed up Vlasov.

In his address, the deputy has also recalled that about 5,000 people fall ill with coronavirus every day. We should note that this year, the decision to celebrate September 1 will be made separately in each region - there will be no celebratory assemblies in Moscow.

At the same time, the work of schools will begin in compliance with all the necessary anti-epidemic measures - the body temperature of the students will be measured, and the premises will be disinfected. The training itself will take place in the usual format, so far the authorities are not considering a new switch on the "distance learning".
