The bill on the right of a citizen to establish in his credit history a ban on the conclusion of consumer loan (loan) agreements with credit and microfinance organizations with him has been submitted to the State Duma of the Russian Federation. A group of deputies headed by the Chairman of the Financial Market Committee Anatoly Aksakov made a corresponding initiative.
According to Aksakov, the proposed amendments to the law will protect Russians from various fraudulent schemes. The State Duma deputy recalled that today, unfortunately, there are situations when a citizen does not even know that a loan has been taken on his behalf.
In addition, Anatoly Aksakov added that the bill is also focused on those cases when a person under psychological influence voluntarily transfers money or discloses bank information that allows fraudsters to commit an offense.
If the bill is adopted, Russians will be able to establish a self-ban on issuing loans to themselves through "Public Services", including directly to the MFC.
