THE RIGHTS FOR THE SINGLE PENSIONERS APARTMENTS MIGHT BE TRANSFERRED TO THE STATE FUND

The Government has received an initiative from the Consumers' Union to transfer the apartments of the single elderly people to a special state fund in exchange for the life support. By means of this initiative, it is planned to suppress numerous criminal schemes and meet the needs of young people in the living space.

The chairman of the Union of Consumers Petr Shelishch noted that the state fund would assess the cost of apartments to conclude an agreement. According to Izvestia newspaper, an amount of a monthly payment for pensioners will be determined after that - it will depend on the approximate endowment period.

So-called applicants for housing will be able to get an apartment from the fund. To do this, they will have to make monthly payments, which will go to pay the benefits for the pensioners.

It is assumed that the amount of payments will be 20-50 thousand rubles, depending on the region.

In addition, the amount of the payments will be based on what kind of housing the applicant is counting on - after paying the required amount, he or she will be presented with apartments to choose from the necessary price range.

The authors of the initiative believe that the idea is good because there is no down payment required for the mortgage. At the same time, the safety of the elderly will be ensured by the lack of personal acquaintance with the applicants for apartments.

We should remind our readers that crime is not uncommon in cases with the apartments of lonely pensioners. Elderly people, unfortunately, are often faced with the "black realtors" who, after the conclusion of a life annuity deal, get rid of the apartment’s owner. As for the young people, they are not in a hurry to conclude an agreement with pensioners as well, as they fear that if something happens, they will become the first suspects.
