The head of the Crimea, Sergei Aksenov, stated on his Facebook page that the region’s authorities asked the Russian government to cancel several requirements of the Federal Service for Supervision of Consumers Protection for the Republic of Crimea. In particular, the statement was about the mandatory testing of the tourists for coronavirus.

Aksenov noted that the measure should be abolished not only for ordinary vacationers, but also for the employees of the resort enterprises. He added that the Crimean authorities are asking to abolish the measure according to which, in the event of detection of coronavirus, it will be necessary to turn the entire accommodation facility into an observatory.

Sergei Aksenov also mentioned the work of beaches - now, according to the requirements of the Federal Service for Supervision of Consumers Protection, the vacationers should maintain a social distance.

The head of the republic reminded that this measure is difficult to implement, and therefore it should be abolished.

In conclusion, Aksenov turned to the representatives of tourism so that they could inform him about other measures that seem unnecessary and hinder the restoration of work.

Previously, the Federal Service for Supervision of Consumers Protection made recommendations, according to which the vacationers should be accommodated in single rooms, except for the families. At the same time, the sanatoriums employees should have a coronavirus test at least once a week. All the services will have to be provided by appointment, and the meals need to be organized in compliance with the social distance or in the rooms.
