The Ministry of Finance proposed to introduce mediation in the process of restructuring of the debts of citizens

Russian Ministry of Finance has announced a strategy for the development of the Russian financial market for the next nine years.  Among other things, it proposes the introduction of mediation in a situation of restructuring of a citizen's debts.  It is assumed that both the debtor and his creditors will take part in the procedure.

On September 13, the document was presented by Deputy Finance Minister Alexei Moiseev. According to the official, the process of preparation of the strategy included a lot of work, including the work with consumers of financial services, reports TASS.

According to the Ministry of Finance, the current situation with the availability of loans in the market, including distance loans, requires an increase in the liability of creditors.

In addition, they have more and more opportunities to obtain information about both the debtors themselves and the possible risks associated with them. Measures to increase the responsibility of persons and organizations providing loans should ultimately lead to a decrease in the growth of credit availability, concluded the ministry.

Separately, it was noted that a number of measures have already been taken to support the citizens who have loaned. The mortgage holidays and the institution of bankruptcy, including extrajudicial, can be called among them, as well as the protection from the collection of all incomes, limited by the cost of living, says the document.
