The fight against corruption will be fixed in the constitution of the Russian Federation
Disputes and proposals on the amendments to the country's basic law do not cease. Legislative initiatives are heard from all the sides, it remains only to have time to fix them.

Recently, the head of the RF IC noted the need for a more thorough fight against corruption and the introduction of confiscation of property as a punishment. The seriousness of the intent was reinforced by the proposal to introduce a corresponding provision in the Constitution. According to the chief investigator of the country, the mention of such responsibility in the main law will probably contribute to a more effective fight against bribery.

When it comes to the president, he also takes an active part in the discussion, speaking out with a legislative initiative. Among Vladimir Putin’s proposals, a whole block of social aspects can be distinguished: these are mandatory indexations of both pensions and other social benefits, fixing the minimum wage, and defining marriage as a heterosexual union. In addition to the social sphere, the president also touched on the state issues. In particular, the idea of consolidating the succession between the USSR and the Russian Federation belongs to him, as well as the prohibition of alienation of state territory.

The amendments have already passed the first reading in the State Duma, the second is scheduled for March 10. The voting day for citizens is also known - this will be a specially announced day off on April 22, 2020.
