THE FACE MASK PURCHASE ALLOWANCE IS PROPOSED TO BE PAID IN RUSSIA

The representatives of the National Parents’ Committee suggest introducing an additional allowance for the purchase of personal protective equipment.

According to RT website, the chairman of the committee, Irina Volynets, stated the need for the introduction of an allowance - the corresponding initiative was sent to the Russian government. The relevance of the measure is due to the introduction of a mask regime in many regions of the country, but not all the citizens have means to buy masks and gloves on a daily basis. Moreover, a fine is provided for violation of the mask regime, which is not very logical.

Volynets said that the amount of the allowance should be calculated at the rate of one mask per day, taking into account the average cost of personal protective equipment in each region.

However, she noted that the allowance can be replaced by the free of charge provision of the protective equipment.

We should recall that from May 12, the mask regime is introduced in the majority of the regions of the Russian Federation. As personal protective equipment, Russians should have masks, gloves and sanitizers. According to the estimates, the average set for a month costs from 3400 to 5100 rubles, depending on the region.
