THE DEPUTIES PROPOSED TO CLOSE HOOKAH BARS FOR THE REMAINDER OF THE YEAR

The representative of the Civic Chamber of the Russian Federation, Sultan Khamzaev, came up with an initiative to close all the hookah bars in the Russian Federation for the remainder of 2020. It was noted that the proposal will help to prevent the spread of coronavirus.

To substantiate his proposal, Khamzayev recalled that hookahs increase the risk of the spread of infectious diseases - this was also discussed by the specialists from the Ministry of Health.

Given that a possible second wave of coronavirus is expected by this fall, Khamzaev considers it necessary to close all hookah bars for the remainder of the year.

The deputy proposed to extend the ban on the establishments where it is possible to order a hookah - according to his initiative, this function should also be limited until December 31, 2020.

It is worth noting that earlier, the Ministry of Health has reported that there is an increased risk of contracting coronavirus, cholera, tuberculosis and other diseases when smoking hookahs due to the poor processing of the flasks.
