Employees of the prosecutor's office will be able to enter into the process of bankruptcy of construction companies - the initiative of the Prosecutor General's Office may soon be submitted for consideration to Russian legislators.  The head of the department, Igor Krasnov, published information in the Federation Council and noted that the relevant bill had already been developed by the supervisory agency.

Igor Krasnov said that more than 2,000 residential buildings continued to be unfinished in Russia, while the money of equity holders was used in the process of construction.  They are located in 72 regions of the country.  The Prosecutor General announced this last Monday, speaking at the meeting of an expanded board.
Igor Krasnov called the protection of the rights of citizens the goal of the initiative of the prosecutor's office.
According to the Attorney General, such measures will shorten the time necessary for the return of rights to the equity holders.

Krasnov also noted the success of the events held at the initiative of prosecutors in 2021.  They took place on the territory of the Moscow, Leningrad, Novosibirsk regions, the Krasnodar Territory and some other regions of the country.  As a result, an additional 5 billion rubles were allocated from the budget for the completion of housing and compensation to the victims of unscrupulous developers.

According to Krasnov, the Prosecutor General's Office is currently monitoring construction companies that are running behind schedule or at risk of becoming insolvent.  The number of unfinished objects decreased by 20%, and more than 97,000 Russians were reinstated.
