RUSSIAN HOUSEWIVES WILL BE ABLE TO RECEIVE BENEFITS

The initiative, offering to pay the benefits to the housewives, was introduced to the State Duma by the Liberal Democratic Party. It is assumed that the household owners should receive state support in the amount of the minimum wage.

The allowance should be paid monthly, and the so-called household managers are Russians, involved in the cooking, cleaning, and caring for children or elderly parents and people with disabilities. What is more, this concept should include other kinds of the household activities.

It is noted in the draft law that only one member of the family will be able to receive the “housewife” allowance.

The condition of the financial state should be observed as well - in order to receive the benefit, the average income per family member cannot exceed the double subsistence minimum, established in a particular region of the Russian Federation.

It is assumed that it will be possible to apply for a new type of benefit on the website of the public services or in the social protection departments. If the State Duma approves the initiative, it will enter into force on 1 January, 2021. The authors of the draft law are confident that the benefits will be able to strengthen the social stability in society.
