RUSSIA MAY IMPOSE A PUNISHMENT FOR ILLEGAL SALARIES
RUSSIA MAY IMPOSE A PUNISHMENT FOR ILLEGAL SALARIES
Anatoly Artamonov, the representative of the Federation Council, came up with an initiative to restore the economy. It sounds like this - to prosecute the heads of those companies that use the so-called “under the table” salary payment system.
The Senator’s initiative is aimed at the nationwide economic recovery plan that Vladimir Putin requested to submit by June 1. We should note that for the moment, the punishment for “under the table” salaries exists as well. However, it applies to the payments of more than 100 thousand rubles. Now it is proposed to hold the leaders accountable regardless of the size of the illegal payments. They might face the punishment up to the imprisonment.
The parliamentarian also proposed the expansion of the capabilities of the regional legislations and executive bodies, regarding decision-making in relation to the stimulating of the SMEs and minimizing bureaucracy. Among his other initiatives there is an increase in the share of federal highways and runways in the infrastructure of the Russian Federation.
We should remind our readers that according to the various surveys, only 45% of Russians managed to keep their salaries in the same volume. The salaries of the rest were reduced, or they were sent on the unpaid leave (sometimes paid), or completely fired.
