MINISTRY OF FINANCE PROPOSED TO START ONLINE SALES OF ALCOHOL
MINISTRY OF FINANCE PROPOSED TO START ONLINE SALES OF ALCOHOL
The Ministry of Finance proposed to introduce a pilot project for the online sale of Russian wines through the Russian Post website in three regions of Russia. The experiment is supposed to start from next year, and the regions involved in it will be Moscow and the Moscow region, as well as Mordovia.
In the spring of this year, Vladimir Putin gave instructions to conduct an experiment in the supply of Russian wine through online services.
The Russian Post website was proposed as a platform for the implementation of the idea.
After that, the Russian Post prepared a presentation on the possibilities of delivering Russian wines via Internet. The document contained data that in the next 4 years about 5 billion rubles of investments would be needed to create such a platform. The money will go to various kinds of IT solutions, as well as platforms for the formation of orders, with which post offices will interact.
It should be noted that the experiment was initially planned for this year. Only two regions were supposed to take part in it - the Moscow region and the Republic of Mordovia. It was also assumed that the Russian Post would create a single platform designed to establish a relationship between producers and consumers of Russian wines, but its implementation requires considerable resources.
