GAMBLING ON THE STOCK MARKET MAY BECOME AVAILABLE FROM 12 YEARS OF AGE
The First Deputy Chairman of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation Sergey Shvetsov announced the idea of lowering the age limit for exchange trading.
The statement was made within the framework of an interview with Izvestia TV channel.
According to Shvetsov, it is worth giving the opportunity to play on the stock exchange market to people from the age of 12.
In substantiating his position, the deputy chairman indicated that by this point, adolescents already have sufficient knowledge of mathematics and are able to calculate compound interest. Shvetsov also noted that trading on the exchange market may be aimed at gaining experience, not income. At the same time, it will simply not be possible to master the ability to invest without practice, reports RBC.
At the moment, there is a rule according to which adolescents already have the right to dispose of their earnings and make various kinds of transactions from the age of fourteen, but with the written consent of their parents.
Such conditions can greatly complicate the exchange trading procedure, where the situation sometimes changes very quickly.
Separately, Shvetsov indicated that at the moment, a final agreement with the government has not been reached. Now the idea of reducing the age requirement for gambling is just an initiative.
