FAMILIES WITH CHILDREN CAN RECEIVE BENEFITS BY SEPTEMBER 1

It is assumed that this will affect children from 6 to 18 years old (disabled children up to 23 years old) who are studying in schools, technical schools or universities. The payment can become annual, in the amount of 21,850 rubles. For low–income families, this amount will be higher – 34,679 rubles, and for low-income students - 23,206 rubles.

21,850 rubles is the average cost of school enrollment in 2021.

The payout for low-income families is higher, since this amount also includes the cost of a tablet, which may be needed for distance learning.

The explanatory note to the bill notes that it is necessary to pay the funds before the start of the school year. The parliamentarians also believe that the new payment will be able to smooth out inequality among students, including providing them with technical means.

The deputies also note the fact that the birth rate has decreased again in Russia. Additional measures to support families will be able to change the situation.
