FAMILIES WITH CHILDREN AGED 17 – 18 YEARS MIGHT RECEIVE A 10,000 RUBLES ALLOWANCE
The corresponding initiative came to the government from the representatives of the Federation Council. We should recall that previously a one-time payment of 10 thousand rubles was made for all children aged 3 to 16 years.
Now the officials offer not to forget about the children of 17-18 years old, because the situation caused a wide public outcry. Many parents were outraged by the lack of payments for children over 16 years old despite the fact that many of them go to school. Now the government plans to seriously consider this opportunity and pay the allowances to the children from this category.
According to preliminary data, the payment will be received by the children aged 17-18 years, studying in general educational institutions.
Officials say that if the budget allows, the government is likely to approve the initiative.
It is necessary to recall that all children under 16 received state support. For children under 3 years old, payments of 5,000 rubles were issued in April, May and June. Children from 3 to 16 years got a one-time payment of 10,000 rubles. But children from 17 to 18 years old were left without any state support, which is now planned to be corrected.
