BORIS TITOV PROPOSED TO REMOVE RESTRICTIONS FOR SELF-EMPLOYED
Business Ombudsman Boris Titov intends to come up with an initiative to remove a number of restrictive measures from the self-employed, as well as to grant them the right to make insurance payments.

Such proposals are contained in the materials prepared for the annual report to the president.

According to Titov, there are enough restrictions for self-employed in the form of a prohibition of hiring employees and a limit on annual income, reports TASS.

The Business Ombudsman believes that the presence of additional measures leads to a decrease in the rate of ‘whitewashing’ the labor market in our country.

We should recall that at the moment, the self-employed cannot resell new goods, carry passengers, and also work in the medical field.

In addition, they do not have the opportunity to make payments to the Social Insurance Fund, which makes this category of workers vulnerable to temporary disability due to illness or even pregnancy.

Citizens who generate income by providing charged services on their own can be recognized as self-employed. At the same time, they deduct from 4 to 6% of their income to the budget of country.

The self-employed regime appeared in Russia two years ago and initially was a pilot regime. First of all, it was introduced in Moscow and several other regions, a year later it spread to 23 regions. At the moment, each constituent entity of the Russian Federation has the right to introduce an appropriate tax regime on its territory.
