BILL GATES CALLS FOR RICH COUNTRIES TO SHIFT TO SYNTHETIC BEEF

One of the richest people in the world, Microsoft founder Bill Gates said that the shift to synthetic beef would help to avoid a climate catastrophe. Gates believes that rich countries should pay heed to this proposal.

In an interview with Technology Review, Bill Gates said that artificial food did not taste like natural food, but people would get used to it over time. At the same time, he noted that synthetic beef can have a beneficial effect on the environment - by eliminating methane emissions associated with livestock production.

According to Gates, the biggest challenge for humankind right now is achieving climate neutrality.

For this purpose, greenhouse gases must be eliminated. They are mainly formed in the production of oil, gas and coal.

Gates added that the 80 poor countries were unlikely to eat artificial food, but all the rich need to shift to synthetic food in order to improve the environment.

We should recall that Bill Gates is one of the three richest people in the world, and his fortune is estimated at $ 137 billion. The richest person now is Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos with $ 191 billion, while Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk is second with $ 190 billion.
