BANKS ARE ABOUT TO REMOVE THE FUNDS FROM INACTIVE BANK ACCOUNTS

It became known that banks are planning to obtain the right to remove the credit payments and commissions from the "dormant" accounts - this refers to the accounts of those customers who have not contacted the banks and have not updated their data.

The corresponding initiative is already being prepared; it is also known that the Central Bank supports it. It is assumed that the new format will allow to avoid fraudulent schemes with inactive accounts, as well as to relieve the bank customers from fines and penalties in cases when they did not inform the banks about the change of passports in time.

The proposal was put forward within the framework of the "regulatory guillotine", reports Izvestia newspaper. It will help regulate the financial market and improve the regulatory framework. Now the banks cannot remove the money for financial services from the accounts the data of which has not been updated for more than a year, which, of course, does not suit them.

Banks will be able to remove the funds from the loan and service accounts if the client's identification data is changed, but he has not reported this for a year and has not picked up the calls.

For the moment, the banks are required to update the customer information at least once a year. If they are valid, the operations can be continued, if they have changed, any transactions are prohibited. However, the bank customers do not always report changes in their data.
