APARTMENT REPAIR OR EDUCATIONAL SERVICES: MATERNITY CAPITAL MAY BE USED FOR NEW PURPOSES

Tatyana Golikova came up with the idea of increasing the grounds for using maternity capital funds. It was proposed to direct them to construction and reconstruction of housing in the event of having children under the age of three or to pay for educational services that are provided by individual entrepreneurs with a license (often these are private kindergartens).

According to experts, the innovations will be able to positively affect the quality of life of families with children, and will also allow solving long-standing problems, reports Izvestia.

We should recall that at the moment, the maternal capital funds can be spent on the education of children, the mother's funded pension, the adaptation of disabled children and the improvement of housing conditions.

The latter basis is most often used by families: about 80% of the total number of applications.

If Putin approves the initiative, the Ministry of Labor will be instructed to develop an appropriate regulatory act. 

The department has already noted that work to improve the conditions for using the capital funds is underway. Previously, the conditions for refinancing mortgage agreements and the disposal of funds for housing construction were subject to changes.
