ALEXEI KUDRIN PROPOSED A FAST WAY TO COMBAT POVERTY

Alexei Kudrin, the Chairman of the Accounts Chamber of the Russian Federation, proposed a way that will make it possible to overcome poverty in Russia in a few years. The official suggested developing targeted assistance to the population, while cutting off those citizens who do not need it.

In his opinion, with such an approach, it will be possible to achieve a significant reduction in the level of poverty in three to four years, reports Izvestia.

Kudrin believes that the approach to providing social assistance in compliance with the property qualification is correct. The question concerns, in particular, low-income families with children from three to seven years old.

Kudrin noted that in a situation where a person owns two houses and cars, he has no right to demand payments.

If you cut off such recipients, then only those who really need state assistance will remain.

The rules stipulate a certain amount of property permissible for receiving benefits. In particular, the beneficiary's apartments and houses, as well as the land plots that were received within the framework of social support measures, will not be an obstacle to payments.

According to the official, the qualification could have been stricter, but the reforms should be carried out gradually, and at this stage, it is important to insure people to targeted assistance.
