10 THOUSAND RUBLES FOR EACH MEMBER OF FAMILY: SERGEY MIRONOV CAME UP WITH AN INITIATIVE
The day before, parliamentarian Sergei Mironov came up with an idea to allocate additional funds - the deputy made a proposal to introduce monthly payments for each family member with children.

Thus, according to Mironov, the difference between the welfare of Russian citizens will be substantially overcome over several years.

The proposed program is called ‘Equitable Basic Income’. It provides monthly payments to all family members with children. The amount of payment is supposed to be 10 thousand rubles for each family member.

According to the authors of the initiative, Russia has the necessary financial resources, and the innovation will significantly reduce the gap between the rich and the poor.

The National Welfare Fund, as well as the abolition of a number of tax benefits, the introduction of which are not supported by the authors of the initiative, are named as sources of funding. The latter include VAT refunds to oil and gas exporters. According to Mironov, it is unclear, why Russia pays this money at all.

Thus, according to the initiators of payments, most of the funds transferred to families will be returned to the budget by means of taxes and fees.
