‘TOP LEAGUE’ COMPANY FROM KRASNODAR FILES FOR BANKRUPTCY
The day before, the arbitration court introduced supervision in relation to ‘Chain of ‘Top Leage’ sports stores’ LLC. The case was initiated by ASICS RUS LLC.

The amount of the debt claimed is 14.5 million of the principal debt and almost 3 million of penalties and fines.

The latter two are recorded in the register separately and are subject to satisfaction after the principal debt and interest on it are paid off.

Now the management of the ‘Top league’ is obliged to provide the accounting and other documentation of the company for its detailed study by the bankruptcy trustee appointed by the court. A meeting to summarize the results of the observation is scheduled for next March.

According to Alexei Pshenichny, who owns the ‘Top league’ chain of stores, for the moment, the company has suspended its activities, reports Kommersant. The company faced difficulties after the license had been revoked from one of the banks with which an agreement on opening a credit line was concluded.

‘Top league’ had to urgently return borrowed funds, which ‘crippled’ its activities.

In addition, as Pshenichny explained, the situation was aggravated by the decline in purchasing activity during the coronavirus pandemic.
